Welcome to the website

Welcome to the newly created website of The Horticultural Network.

The Network has been created for anyone with an interest in community gardening and social and therapeutic horticulture and is intended to act as a 'hub' - a place for sharing ideas, publicising your activities and for raising awareness of the many groups and projects that are up and running in Cornwall.

The idea behind The Network came from Cornwall Partnership NHS Trust's Social Inclusion Workers, Paul Tyler and Tim Carthew. They were researching gardening and horticulture opportunties in the County for clients with mental health problems but found it hard to locate any, and, when they did, many told a similar tale of operating in relative isolation with little or no support.

As a starting point, and to bring like-minded individuals together, Cornwall Partnership NHS Trust organised the first Horticultural Network Workshop on the 25th April at The Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry Museum in Bodmin... click here for news and information from the event
